Binding

(1) Type/method of binding (perfect, burst, saddle-stitched, etc.). Part of the increased cost of a #hardback book is justified by its superior binding. (2) Process in which a book is bound. (3) #Casing of a book. (4) Hence also denotes the edition (#hardback or #paperback).
