Editor

(1) Generic title for all sorts of publishing people, most either found in the editorial/production departments of a press or working as freelancers, e.g. commissioning editor, desk editor, copy editor and production editor (production manager).

(2) A more specific title applied to certain scholars, namely a volume editor, series editor and editor (titular head) of a journal or similar publication.
